PERFORMING at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, on July 24, 2021, proved to be a challenge for Coi Leray.
Although she failed to impress her audience, the 24-year-old rapper can count on rapper Pressa, her current boyfriend.
Who is Coi Leray’s boyfriend Rapper Pressa?
Born Quinton Armani Gardner on May 10, 1996, in Toronto, Pressa is a Canadian rapper, singer and songwriter.
When he was 5 weeks old, his father was sentenced to 15 years in prison for second-degree murder, leaving him in the care of his mother and older brothers.
He grew up in Driftwood, in the neighbourhood of Jane & Finch, in Toronto, which is known for its gang activity.
He began his rap career in 2016, rising to fame after the release of his single Novacane.
A year later, Pressa opened a show for Drake during his Boy Meets World Tour
Pressa also worked with other artists such as British rapper Giggs, K Koke, Lil Uzi Vert, 6ixBuzz and Houdini.
Pressa currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Who else has Coi Leray dated?
Coi was first romantically linked to Pressa back in April, 2021.
However, he is not the first rapper she has been involved with.
Blueface
Coi and rapper Blueface were first rumoured to be dating back in December, 2020, after being spotted out on a lunch date at Harold’s Chicken in Hollywood.
In a NSFW clip shared to Instagram, Blueface – whose real name is Jonathan Michael Porter – could also be seen licking Coi’s ear.
They further sparked dating rumour with another video shared on the social media platform, in which they could be seen sharing a kiss.
Neither of them confirmed the rumours, although on June 10, Blueface appeared to be dissing Pressa in a Tweet that read: “dat n**** look like a b**ch.”
Trippie Redd
The pair date for a number of months in 2019.
Although they kept a low profile during their relationship, their tumultuous split was made very public.
In his song titled Leray, found on his album A Love Letter to You 4, Trippie sang about their relationship.
“It was love at first sight and misery after two months/Always feeling f**ked up either by love or no love/I thought you was married to the single life”, the lyrics read.
The song was later slammed by Coi in a No Jumper interview.
“At first, no, I didn’t like it”, she admitted, “it was very like, what the f*ck, because I always thought we really had something outside of the music.”
“So I’m just like, damn. If you got something to say, let’s get together and you say that sh*t to my face… I felt like I’m being used for click bait.”
“He’ll sell out with or without me, but at that point I just felt like he coulda just called me, you coulda just hit me, DM’d whoever, emailed.”
She has claimed to respect him as an artist, despite their breakup and the song he had made.
“Just like me, I’m going to put my feelings in a song and my emotions in a song and he does it very well, and that’s one thing I have to give to him”, Coi said.
